Users who are authorized to create messages can include message variables in their text and email message content. When messages are generated, the variables are automatically replaces with appropriate values in a context-specific manner.
TIP: Message variables can also be included in the subject lines associated with custom email templates.
Tenant-specific variables - Variables replaced with values that are specific to individual message recipients. This includes entries such as [TenantName], [Balance], [DaysLate], [UnitName] and forth.
Facility-specific variables - Variables replaced with values that are specific to the facility, such as [FacilityName], [FacilityAddress], [FacilityOfficeHours] and so forth. These variables allow one set of standard messages to be sent to tenants at multiple facilities.
Facility phone variables: The variable list includes two different facility phone number variables:
- The [FacilityPhone] variable inserts the number at which personnel at the facility can be
- The [XpressCollectPhoneNumber] variable inserts the phone number that was created by the messaging service to deliver text notifications to tenants and to handle any return calls sent back to that number by tenants who receive the This number is typically configured to forward calls to an automated XpressPay system.
Payment link variable: The [PayLink] is a facility-specific variable that should always be included in payment-related messages. This variable is rendered as an interactive button that links to the unique URL for the online payment web page assigned to the facility. [PayLink] is also associated with special functionality that passes information about the tenant identity from text messages, or email messages read on a phone, to the online payment system. This functionality ensures that tenant payments are applied to units associated with the correct account.
